Black Walnut tincture has been used for centuries throughout the world as a multi-purpose herbal support. It is believed that Black Walnut may be effective against skin conditions such as acne, eczema, fungal and bacterial infections, dandruff, warts, and athlete's foot. ecause of its high Vitamin C and E content, Black Walnut may be useful during times of respiratory infection and distress. Historically, Black Walnut has been used for its anti-parasitic and anti-pathogenic properties. 
 
This herbal preparation is made with fresh Black Walnut hulls that are wildcrafted from local trees. Each walnut is thoroughly inspected, carefully opened, and chopped for easier release of herbal properties during the steeping process. Hulls are steeped 6-8 weeks in organic alcohol, double strained for a smooth finish, and bottled immediately. 
 
Dosage is very dependent on bioindividual desires and results. Tinctures should never be taken sublingually unless you need emergency immediate relief. The tissues under the tongue and in the mouth are very fragile. Continued direct exposure to alcohol based products can damage these tissues. Always dilute tinctures in warm water before consuming. Drop desired amount into a small cup of warm water, and allow to sit for 5-15 minutes before consuming.
 
It is recommended to use 10 drops orally, diluted in water or juice, 2x per day during times of respiratory distress, or for Black Walnut's anti-parasitic properties. You may also apply Black Walnut tincture topically.  *Discontinue use after a 14 day period* You may resume use after a few week break.
 
As with most herbal tinctures, there are few contraindications for use. Consult with your doctor or preferred medical professional before use. Use caution while pregnant and breastfeeding, and if using with children.
 
Alcohol based tinctures have an infinate shelf life when stored properly. Be sure to keep the lid screwed tight to prevent evaporation, and store in a dark location. You may also store in the refrigerator if desired, but refrigeration is not required.
