Black Drawing Salve has long been used to help pull impurities from the skin. It is most notably used to aid in the removal of splinters, but it may also support reduced inflammation and prevent infection.

  • Plantain: Plantain is a powerhouse weed with numerous medicinal benefits. Plantain is often used to reduce inflammation and keep wounds clean. Its natural drawing properties support the removal of impurities, while its antimicrobial and antibacterial properties may support the prevention of infection.

  • Castor Oil: Castor Oil contains a high concentration of ricinoleic acid, which can quickly reduce inflammation. Its antimicrobial properties can also prevent infection and help keep minor wounds clean.

  • Activated Charcoal: Activated Charcoal is most commonly used for its binding properties. It can attach to toxins and prevent their absorption in the body.

  • Bentonite Clay: Bentonite Clay contains a high concentration of minerals, and is a strong natural detoxifier. As a binder, it attracts the positive ions of chemicals, heavy metals, and impurities, removing them from the body.

These ingredients are steeped in a menstruum of organic olive oil for at least 6 weeks to release their oil soluble properties. As a saturated fat, olive oil is very low in polyunsaturated fat compared to natural Vitamin E levels, and is highly nourishing and hydrating to the skin. 

*For external use only. Always do a patch test on the skin before use. Do not use on broken skin, and discontinue use if irritation occurs. 

Always be sure to keep the lid screwed on tightly to prevent contamination of the product. Store this product in a cool dark place for 12 months.

To Use: This salve may be used topically to draw out impurities and toxins such as splinters, bug bites, etc. Apply an even amount to the effected area and allow to draw for up to 12 hours. Use caution as it may stain clothing and skin.
