Gentle Care Salve

With gentle skin in mind, this salve is designed to support mother and baby alike! It is potent enough to ease symptoms of diaper rash and irritated baby skin, but gentle enough to be used on sore and cracked nursing nipples. It is completely lanolin free, fragrance free, and ideal for sensitive areas.

• Calendula: Calendula Flower is known to promote cell regeneration and reduce inflammation. It is commonly used in skin treatments for it's soothing and healing properties as well.

• Chamomile: This herb is packed with B vitamins that can support moisture retention, giving the skin a natural dewy appearance and smooth texture. Chamomile's natural alcohol, Bisabolol, is antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory, and can support the absorption of other elements when used in a skincare blend.

• Plantain: Plantain is a powerhouse weed with numerous medicinal benefits. Plantain is often used to reduce inflammation and keep wounds clean. Its natural drawing properties support the removal of impurities, while its antimicrobial and antibacterial properties may support the prevention of infection.

These herbs are steeped in a menstruum of organic olive oil for at least 6 weeks to release their oil soluble properties. As a saturated fat, olive oil is very low in polyunsaturated fat compared to natural Vitamin E levels, and is highly nourishing and hydrating to the skin.

Always be sure to keep the lid screwed on tightly to prevent contamination of the product. Store this product in a cool dark place for 12 months.
